Liberia is heading for another exciting event when its citizenry would by extension of franchise decide a new national leadership in 2011 at the polls. The last biggest political event of this nature took place in 2005 when Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, flag bearing what is now called the ruling Unity Party wrestled with other political parties to take control over the mantle of state power.

The Government of Liberia, through the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization of the Ministry of Justice has affirmed its position on the 'Proposed Act to Amend the 'Nationality Law of Liberia' indicating that if said Act is enacted into law, it will bring development and re-unification of Diaspora Liberians back to their motherland.
