Following the just ended Independence Day celebrations in Lofa County, Public Works Minister Samuel Kofi Woods has put government’s expenditure to rehabilitate and reconstruct the 163 kilometers stretch of road in the county at 2 million United States Dollars.

Amidst mixed reactions among Lofaians in relation to the just ended July 26th Independence Celebrations hosted by Lofa County, Assistant Labour Minister for Trade Union Affairs has argued that the 164th Independence of Liberia did not target projects but reconciliation to settle existing tribal differences among six tribes in the county.

About 15 thousand vacation job seekers (students) have expressed frustration over the delay of officials of the Youth and Sports Ministry 2011 Inter-Ministerial Committee on Youth Empowerment and Employment to assign them despite their names being shortlisted.
