FOLLOWING FEW YEARS of preparatory work involving the meeting of concessionary pre-requisites put forth by the Government of Liberia, it is pleasing to note that Arcellor Mittal Steel has reportedly begun its first shipment of some 2,000 metric tones of iron ore from the Tokadi Mine to the Port of Buchanan for exportation to its European partners.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), following many years after the Liberian civil crisis, had seriously come under an educational x-ray, most times giving many the impression that it was simply a matter of tactics employed in getting results of exams administered to students to have been delayed.

In our last edition, we touched on three out of the seven most basic jobs in Liberia. However, it should have continued in this edition, but due to numerous calls from some of my many readers to write on the Miranda’s right, I am constrained to write on the importance of the Miranda’s right and how it can be applied in our today’s setting especially within the rear of the citizenry and the police.
