A Representative of the Liberian National Student Union and a member of Publish What You Pay-Liberia  (PWYP), Benedict Williams, has sharply criticized the government of Liberia for violating the laws of Liberia by  bogusly awarding almost US$8billion  contracts since 2009, citing the recent Liberia Extractive Industrial Transparency Initiative (LEITI) sanctioned Post Contract Award Audit Report.

Management of the Liberia Water Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has alarmed of experiencing losses in its water distribution process in various communities across Monrovia, mainly in the Old road Community.  

Speaking at a news conference Thursday in Monrovia, LWSC Manager Director Charles Allen made the disclosure that the corporation notices that many people are illegally using the LWSC water without proper notification and without being registered to the corporation.

A   local social worker from Touching Humanity In Need of Kindness (THINK) Miss Lola H. Saydee said the issue of female prostitution in the country is becoming very rampant in every sector of Liberia. She also indicated that women including teenagers from age 6-12yrs old most especially at the Banana Bush in Red-light Paynesville City outside Monrovia, are getting seriously involved  in prostitution life  just for little or nothing.
