The Nigerian Contingent of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) recently received Medals for their outstanding performance in peace keeping in the country. The medal presentation ceremony took place at the SKD Sports Stadium outside in Monrovia. Serving as Special Guest of Honor, the Special Representative of the United Secretary, Madam Ellen Margrethe Loj lauded the over 1,577 peacekeepers including 59 female police officers of the Contingent for dedicating their lives to peacekeeping in the world, especially in Liberia. |

The Parents Teachers Association of the Independent Bethlehem Baptist High School located Key-Hole; Old Road on Sunday February 28, 2010 launched a hundred thousand Liberian Dollar fence project at the Independent Bethlehem Baptist Church in the same vicinity. During the program, the guest speaker who is also the proprietor of the Universal Custom Ambassador, Inc., Mr. Y. Robertson Siaway used the occasion to call on members of the PTA of the school as well as other members of the church and community to have the same mind towards the project.

Mankind the world-over has been reminded that they have no action of their own unless granted by God. As a result, he implores that they must refrain from vices seeking to undermine their fellowmen, since everything is destined by God. The reminder was contained in a funeral discourse delivered last Saturday by the District Superintendent of the Rivercess District United Methodist Church (UMC), Rev. Jacob S. Nathan, II, over the remains of the late Mr. Ernest Dowel Jones at the Washington Memorial United Methodist Church in Cestos City, Rivercess County.
