After going silence for months, a group calling itself Movement for the Defense of the Down-Trodden has resurfaced, with the head of the General Auditing Commission (GAC), John S. Morlu, II, being its target again. In a statement released yesterday, the group among other things, expressed flabbergast over what called a high degree of deception that characterized Auditor General Morlu's response to a the Ministry of Justice's communication. |

In the wake of several petitions for the incumbent, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to run for a second term in reversal of her own promise to the Liberian people that she would serve only one term in office and amidst a laundry list of beautiful accomplishments, forward looking proposals and a challenge to all Liberians to rise up, get involved in the nation building process and fight corruption as a societal ill, the President is said to have muddled the water by declaring her intentions at the tail end of her annual message. The message was said to have been diluted, although to the delights of her loyal supporters and the disgust of her opponents. |

Reports reaching this paper have revealed that one of the Board members of the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town Mr. Samuel Johnson has forged the signature of the Medical Doctor at that hospital John T. Dada and reportedly withdrew from the hospital's account the amount of LD 452,000.00 plus 250.00 United States Dollars for personal use. |
