Our understanding of life, Lord, is feeble and alarmingly stumpy in almost all that we do as nation and people. We take life for a joke and would waste precious time on trivial matters that only contribute to the underdevelopment of our nation. We think in the reverse and fail to realize the importance of the free gifts you had given us in support of our social and economic lives.
We imagine prosperity but fail to apply its formula thereby being perpetual hosts of poverty. So we sit and cry onto to you all of the time to deliver us from the layers of evils, we have created for ourselves. Lord, as you maybe ware our leaders are by nature, not only crooks but highly wicked and selfish. They can never prove to be careful drivers of the ship of our life. They often lead us in the turbulence in terms of creating social and economic difficulties for us.
They fail to understand that as drivers of our ship of state, they are under the bounding obligation to lay a proper foundation of our state; make use of the soil for food production so that hunger can cease being living in the same bed with us all of the time. Lord, we pray for you to open our understanding about the importance of life in the true social and economic context.
Lord, let us understand that we have the obligation to use the resources given us to create comfortable life for ourselves and our children. May you open our eyes to realize the wonders you had created and to copy your examples her on earth as other nations are doing. Other nations have realized what it means to own a state, own vital land, and own natural resources, etc. Lord, let us know now that we have what others don’t have, and that we equally have the same knowledge you shared with advanced nations.
Let us know that it is sinful to live in the culture of corruption which runs counterproductive to national growth and development. Let our leaders know that it is useless to desire owning selfishly and wickedly what belongs to the state. Let them know that life means proportional sharing and creating a conducive social and economic environment for all citizens and residents.
Lord, it is our hope that you would listen to our prayer and act upon it in Jesus mighty name-AMEN.
