Lord, we the Concerned Citizens of the Republic of Liberia wish to express our regret and sorrow over the on-going crises in neighboring Ivory Coast. The nation is currently experiencing war situation as a result of political differences. Many are therefore on their heels in the bushes finding safe heaven. We share the feelings of the innocent people who are made vulnerable to a situation they did not create.

We share the painful conditions of these people remembering the Liberian episode which completely broke down essential fabrics of the land. We see the Ivoirians threading a dangerous path because war is all about destruction. Let them know that when the path of war is preferred to peace and stability a given place only prepares a gallows for itself.

Lord, let them know that when Liberians pursued the path of war, they drove away peace and therefore made themselves hosts to social vices in addition to untimely deaths for a period of fifteen unbroken years. Although the war has ceased to be in its physical form since six years, the darkness it created continues to loom over the nation in all dots. The darkness includes rampant corruption, broken unity, acute poverty, hunger, as well as political insensitivity.

Lord, let the Ivoirians know that war speaks no good language; it provides opportunities for the wicked men to build their kingdom of wickedness against the future of innocent people. We the Concerned Citizens of the Republic of Liberia pray that you intervene and stop the blazing fire in the Ivory Coast lest it spill over and affect us.

Our land has just graduated with pains from war. We hate to hear about war. Hence, may you prevent our land from anything that has to do with war. Save our land and let us overcome the social and economic hardship. We pray in Jesus name-AMEN.
