A medical practitioner in New Cess Clan, District #4, Grand Bassa County, Mr. Henry W. Tommy has alarmed that deplorable road conditions in the area are creating difficulties for residents, sometimes leading to deaths. In a chat with reporters recently, during his visit to Monrovia Mr. Tommy said the roads leading from Buchanan to the other areas in the county have come very bad with potholes and damaged bridges, thus preventing vehicles from conveying people from one point to another.
Mr. Tommy noted that vehicles do not reach certain towns and villages in the District, making specific reference to a current situation, whereby vehicles drop people in Tangbon Town or Pear Carr Town, which that considered as the central point. Against this situation, Mr. Tommy is calling on the Unity Party-led Government of Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to come to the aid of the people in the District by rehabilitating the deplorable roads. On the other hand, Mr. Tommy is challenging the citizens of the District to assist Government in the rebuilding process with their little contributions. |
