Rivercess County Education Officer (CEO) James Baryougar has been dismissed for allegedly selling supplies intended for distribution to schools in the county. In an Education Ministry statement issued yesterday, Monday, March 8, 2010, CEO James Baryougar's was dismissed after investigation launched into the alleged selling, found out that the former Rivercess Education Boss was caught right-handed trading a considerable quantity of the school materials.

According to the statement, the Ministry of Education has named the Resident District Education Officer (DEO), Mr. D. Advertus Gweh to serve as Acting County Education Officer (CEO) pending the official recruitment of a County Education Officer for the County.

At the same time, the Ministry is warning all of its employees against malpractices, as it will not relent to dismiss and send to court any one caught, noting that buyers will also be prosecuted. Meanwhile, the Ministry is calling on all Liberians to help control school supplies by reporting any act of irregularity.
