The Director-General Civil Service Agency, Dr. C. William Allen, has been nominated to serve on the Jury of the Innovative Management Award of the African Association of Public Administration and Management (AAPAM).

A release from CSA said Dr. Allen has received a letter from the Secretary General of AAPAM, Mr. G.K. Scott, revealing that Dr. Allen has been recommended as a person with respected knowledge and experience, and as one who will make a valuable contribution to the Jury.

According to the release, the Innovative Management Award is a continental-wide high-ranking award. It recognizes organizational achievement and is intended to encourage creative managerial initiatives in Public Administration and Management in  Africa. The release also noted that winners of the award are identified and selected through a competitive process.

The AAPAM is said to be constituted by eminent persons in the Africa Public Service. The  AAPAM  with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, is  an international professional organization that promotes best practice, excellence and professionalism in Public Administration and Management in Africa through Research, Public Affairs, Training Seminars, Conferences and Awards, the release indicated. Dr. Allen is expected to serve a term of three years.
