No matter whatever it may represent culturally in Liberia, in spite others still believing that whatever may have been done by forebears in the perpetual existence of the nation, time is fast changing and citizens, as well as residents, must begin learning to cope with changing times.
Had it not been so, all could as well forget about the tremendous changes that have since occurred since the creation of the universe by God, allowing both men and women to remain in the Garden of Eden naked until Satan comes once again to fool us by eating the forbidden fruit.
Preservation of Liberia’s rich and highly productive cultural heritage becoming of interest to this columnist, opposing the very bad that must be seriously edited in helping citizens cope with changing times, the prevailing culture since stumbled upon in more recent decades in Liberia that is submitting individuals and institutions to the conspiracy theory, with younger generation been placed above the older apparently for back-grounding purpose must now be immediately and cautiously handled in prevention of public ridicule.
The scenario, giving semblance to the story of the Cat and Mouse in which the former wanted to befriend the latter but was asked by Mrs. Mouse to go and cut his nose shorter, since it was too long and made him look ugly, which Mr. Cat gracefully did, his return to the latter made the situation worse, since by simply trimming the nose made it very red and fearful, thus leading to the rejection of the friendship sought by him.
Eventually and from that moment, Mr. Cat has always hated the mouse and wherever the latter makes his or her presence felt before him, it becomes a chasing game for consumption.
Very ugly as the scenario depicts, it is indeed regrettable that amidst sacrificial strides by forefathers to gradually prioritize EDUCATION in buttressing what may have earlier been described as “traditional” or “informal” methods thereat, man continues to still eat with bare hands and spoons, depending on choice.
The latter described as been the most civilized method, involving forks and knives, at least whatever is gathered from the plate or bowl by either the bare hands or the latter end up going through the throat to keep the digestive system at work.
Enlightened in immediate decades through reading of the Qu’ran and practices thereof, something that kept my hands from begging as some would have wished, simply out of conspiracies mounted locally to keep this tiny-looking columnist from excelling, subjecting his children, grand and great-grand to all forms of degrading treatment, apparently out of track records of never having formed part and parcel of individuals and institutions that contributed to the destruction of the Republic of Liberia over the years, can a plain white clothes be placed among ruined materials during a laundry process?
Against these established premises, therefore, proverbial they may be, an acknowledged left-winger on the field of play cannot be forced on the right wing as though on a basketball pitch in which the basket, from whichever angle, becomes the target for the “Two,” in the playful words of classmate “Duchen” Anderson during the early 1970s at Stella Polaris.
With “death merchants” becoming pervasive in and around the capital, Monrovia, psychologically looking out for preys to feed upon, why would the adoption of a demonic culture rendering others bereft of their honest acquirements in the cause of setting unworkable conditions in the growth and development processes of the nation be imposed upon them?
Hell since becoming upside-down and not even trigonometry-like, many decades referred to as SOHCAHTOA, meaning Sine equals Opposite and Hypotenuse, Cosine equals Adjacent and Hypotenuse and Tangent equals Opposite and Adjacent, these may just come to bear soon, necessitating the consultation of a long-time Geometry instructor, Mr. Luke Bawo, many years with the Secretariat of the Mano River Union (MRU) in re-formulating for exactitude in the nation-building strategy now yearned in making a difference.
The unprogressive culture of placing ‘smaller’ over ‘bigger’ for mere sake of cultures that are obsolete and have no place within a democracy must stop. Are the “Windows on the World” listening and taking serious notes?
At least many from the “Old School” are still taking full cognizance, since continuity in doing otherwise will subject many to nationalities that are very orderly, peaceful and respect human dignity. These are the little things that matter.
