The ailing children admitted at Redemption hospital have been given care packages by The Christian Aid Ministry (CAM), leaving several parents excited despite their reasons for being there. One –year- old Angel, admitted at the Redemption Hospital for malnourishment, was handed a package that included baby clothes, a blanket, socks, diapers, rubber pants and other baby accessories. Angel’s mother says, “it has been a rough road, but today (CAM) has placed a big smile on all of the faces of the mothers admitted on bed,” she states.

Group leader Dorothy Stoltzfus, who has been a volunteer of the Christian Aid Ministry since 2009, says that CAM’s primary goal is to spread the gospel and also provide aid and relief. “This will be an ongoing project that we will continue to help Liberians with,” Mrs. Stoltzfus stated. Towels, washcloths, soaps, deodorants and other needed items to keep the body clean were given the children that are above 5 years old. Elderly homes were given the care package as well.

According to Mrs. Stoltzfus, these items came about through pledges and charities of monthly support from peoples all around the world.”There are forty-two orphanage homes in the country that we always try to provide food, shelter, medicine and clothes with,” she states. Some of the orphanage homes are also helped with their education. Mr. Elvin Stoltzfus is the Orphanage program Director of those facilities.

Here to make a difference in the lives of the Liberian children and citizens, Christian Aid Ministry has committed itself to bring development and peace.
