A renowned Liberian photojournalist, Mr. Gregory Stemn, is to shortly publish his second book titled: LIBERIA: From Devastation to Peace and Development.

The book which is to be out in August, this year, covers activities on national peace initiatives, national security, education and development, including roads and other infrastructural projects. It also covers the 2011 presidential and legislative political campaign season, and the 2012 Inauguration of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, amongst others.

Mr. Stemn, a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography, is also the author of the book titled: LIBERIA: When Darkness Falls which was launched early 2011 by the Minister of Public Works, Attorney-at-Law Samuel Kofi Woods in Massachusetts, USA, who is also expected to launch the latest this September, according a dispatch from BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - Thursday, July 12, 2012.

Mr. Stemn, founder and president of Image Liberia Media and Marketing Corporation and the GS Media Network, extensively covered conflicts in several countries in West Africa including Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea. In 1992, he hosted a photo exhibition during the then Organization of African Union (OAU) Summit in Dakar, Senegal on the Liberian crisis and in 1993, South Korea.

He is a winner of several distinguished awards, including the photojournalist of the year award from the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) and The Inquirer. He is also a recipient of several certificates in communication and conflict resolution from many national and international organizations, including the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a US-based non-political organization.
