Residents of the Soul Clinic Community in Paynesville, under the banner “Soul Clinic Citizens Association” have planned to honor Representative Edwin Snowe, Public Works Minister Samuel Kofi Woods, and other prominent Liberians for contributing immensely to the political and socio-economic development of war- ravaged Liberia.
Speaking to In Profile Daily yesterday, the Secretary of the association, Ansu Kiawu, disclosed that they are going to honor these Liberians based on their continued dedicated services rendered in the rebuilding process of a nation hard- hit by warfare.
He said the honorees have not only contributed to the socio-economic and political developments of Liberia rather, they have personally left indelible imprints on the minds of many Liberians through the provision of scholarships, personal contributions to individuals in dire needs and well-meaning undertakings that have imparted positively on the lives of ordinary Liberians.
Mr. Kiawu named other to be honored as Abraham Samukai, Lucy Page, Bill Towehway as well as citizens residing within the community.
The group said since these individuals are still living and contributing to national growth and development of the country, it would be prudent to honor them in order to be informed that their relentless efforts to mending peace and stability, coupled with the socio-economic growth and the human resource development have not gone unnoticed by Liberians. “The Soul Clinic Citizens Association has reckoned it necessary to have you honored for your numerous contributions you have made and continue to make in the progressive pathway of our nation’s journey toward reconstruction and development. We are of the greatest optimism that this honor will not come as a surprise to you, but will be welcomed because you deserve it,” Mr. Kiawu noted.
Meanwhile, the honoring program is expected to take place in Zazay Community on Saturday August 25th at the Salvation in Christ Ministries Church. The Minister of National Defense, Brownie Samukai will serve as Guest Speaker while Representative Henry Fahnbulleh will be one of those to grace the occasion. |
