The National Executive Committee of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), through its Grievance and Ethics Committee headed by Samuel D. TweahJr, has lifted the suspension on the party Youth League Chairman, Jefferson Koijee.
The committee said although Mr. Koijee was found guilty during the investigation, the suspension was lifted in the spirit of reconciliation.
The Secretary- General of CDC, Nathaniel F. McGill, made the disclosure Wednesday, January 9th regarding the lifting of the suspension of Mr. Koijee.
He said the gavel of authority has been given back to the CDC Youth League Chairman with a warning for him to abide by the party programs and policies.
The Executive Committee of the CDC also disclosed that Mr. Koijee has already written a letter of apology to the committee acknowledging his guilt and promised to abide by the rules and regulations of the party.
Mr. McGill said the decision taken by the party Executive Committee recently to suspend Mr. Koijee will serve as warning to those who will violate the rules and regulations of the CDC.
Also speaking, the Acting Chairman of the party, Garbla Williams, commended the CDC Executive Committee for lifting the suspension of Mr. Koijee, noting that the decision was in the right direction.
Mr. Williams said it was about time that all CDCians come together as one family in order for the party to be successful in its quest to take state power come 2017.
It can be recalled that the Executive Committee of CDC recently suspended Mr. Koijee for what it termed ‘indiscipline and violation’ of the party’s rules and order.
