The Liberians residing in France have threatened legal action against the Liberian Ambassador accredited near Paris, if he fails to underwrite the medical cost of   his staffer whom he allegedly brutalized for cold rice.

According to the Diaspora Liberians, in 2009, Ambassador Dudley Mckinley Thomas flogged and brutalized his housekeeper, Joseph Richards thus allegedly breaking two of his teeth for eating his (Ambassador)  ‘cold’  rice in the morning .

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the In Profile Daily last Wednesday in Monrovia, the Secretary- General for Liberians living in France, Randy Bior Jones, said after the tragic incident, Ambassador Mickinley abandoned the victim  leaving him in pains and tears.

He said: “God first and Mr. Richard Parjloh and his Cameroonian wife second, who took   the courage to underwrite the medical cost of 387.00  Euros  to revive the life of the victim following the Ambassador’s refusal to  treat  him”.

Mr. Jones also accused Ambassador Mickinley of failing to make available 1,500 Euros for his Chief Cook, David Williams, to undergo eye operation based on doctor recommendation after going blind while cooking.

He said  it was again Mr. Parjloh and his wife  who undertook the cost   for the  Ambassador ‘s  Chief Cook to regain his sight .

According to him,    Ambassador Mickinley lacks good  human relations and respect for his co- workers and Liberians in France as demonstrated through his action claiming, “This  Ambassador that does not show concern to his employees and Liberians”.

Mr. Jones said the Liberian Community in France remains firmed on its decision to drag the Ambassador to court in the interest of their colleague.

At the same time, Mr. Jones has called on President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to replace Ambassador Thomas and fill the embassy with more young and energetic diplomats who will properly represent the country by seeking its citizen’s well-being.

Meanwhile, a staff at the Liberian Embassy in France, who begged for anonymity has admitted to the allegations involving Ambassador Mickinley describing the Liberian Community’s action as a good step.

“We ourselves are embarrassed with the way in which things are run at the embassy but we cannot speak out because we are in the system”, the staff noted.
