The President of the Liberia Business Association (LIBA), Dee- Maxwell S. Kemayah   has made several recommendations to the newly inducted leadership of the National Staff Association (NASA) of the United Nations Mission in Liberia.

He made the recommendations last Friday at the induction ceremony of NASA new core of officials held at the German Embassy in Congo Town when he served as keynote speaker.

Mr. Kemayah recommended that the new leadership of NASA carefully considers the qualities of leadership at all levels and above.

According to him, the leadership of NASA should also endeavor to adopt the principles of good governance and work as a team for a common goal of improving the organization from its current status.

He also recommended that the leadership continues to carefully take note of its essential role in the full understanding of the mandate of UNMIL in Liberia.

“I strongly believe when the leadership of NASA follows some of these recommendations in working towards them properly and in a successful manner, it will be a great success to all Liberians and UNMIL in Liberia”, he noted.

According to him, without the efforts of NASA in its operations at UNMIL, the mission will not be able to reach the successful end of its mandate in Liberia.

At the same time, Mr. Kemayah has challenged members of NASA to join the campaign for an economic revolution in the country in order to improve the growth and economic empowerment of the Liberian people aimed at providing opportunities for job creation.

The LIBA President also noted that the economic strategy of empowering Liberians will no doubt serve as bedrock for the sustainability of genuine peace, reconciliation, economic growth and development in the country.

He said NASA members need to join the economic revolution campaign in Liberia by beginning to develop the spirit or sense of entrepreneurship which he believes could be in the best interest of the citizens.

Mr. Kemayah defined leadership as one’s ability to get others to willingly follow.

According to him, leadership is not the issue, but every leadership should always work in the right direction so as to be effective and efficient in its duties, adding that at every institution; be it a family, society, organization or government, there must be a leader, but that leader should always seek the interest of everyone who is part of that entity in order to be a successful leader.

At the same time, Mr. Kamiah has commended UNMIL, the Government of Liberia and the international community for their continuous commitment and dedication in the sustainability of the peace process in Liberia since the end of the country’s civil war.

Meanwhile, the inducted President of NASA, Rochell Woodson, has promised that the organization through its new officials will work harder to ensure that the institution continues to grow for a future generation.

At the same time, Madam Woodson has urged all members of NASA to remain united adding, “because we all are winners but seeking for a common goal which is to make the organization grow stronger than before”.

She commended UNMIL, the Government of Liberia and its international partners for their continuous support in the rebuilding process of Liberia.

Those inducted included Rochell Woodson; President, Jackson Nyenkan; Vice President for Administration, Agatha Kollie; Vice President for Operations, James Fayiah- David; Secretary General, MamadeeFofana; Treasurer, among others.
