It seems the mysterious disappearance of people in Grand Kru County is getting off hand as a Pastor of the Episcopal Church in Liberia, Reverend Father Say-younkon A. Jarteh has alarmed.

In a communication written by Rev. Fr. Jarteh bearing the caption: “Respect For Human Life, A Letter From Barclayville”, he said from 2011-2012 about 10-11 persons got missing in the county and were never be found or heard of since then.

Clergyman Jarteh who resides in Grand Kru County, also disclosed that his cousin (not named) got missing early this month leaving behind nine children and her husband.

According to him, the lady’s family members have been in search of her since she disappeared but to no avail.

“I believe this act of not respecting human life can be brought to a halt if we raise voices together and call for justice to take  place”, Rev. Fr. Jarteh noted.

He described ritualistic killing as an epidemic in the county, stressing the need for something to be done  individually or collectively to stop the barbaric act.

“Please stop killing us, our people. Acquire more knowledge in education, do not hide behind your fake degrees to perform these heinous and barbarous crimes by taking the life of another person like you”, the Episcopal Clergyman warned those involved.

At the same time, Rev. Fr. Jarteh has called on the government to do everything to bring to book and punish those bent on taking away the lives of others in keeping with law.

In the letter, the Episcopal Clergyman noted that life possesses intrinsic sanity that must be respected and safe-guarded by the authority which “in the days past it used to be but this time the laws that used to be have gone into trance”.
