The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) will on February 20, 2013, embark upon a random verification exercise of assets declared by public officials.

According to a release, the exercise is aimed at ascertaining the veracity of the declared assets of targeted public officials.

 The release further noted that the LACC is therefore urging all public officials concerned to cooperate with the Commission in the verification exercise in the interest of transparency and accountability.

Meanwhile, the release said the attention of the LACC has been drawn to allegation of corruption at the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) and is therefore the Commission assures the public that it has commenced deliberations in the matter with the view of citing those involved for investigation.
