Deputy  House Speaker  and  Representative of Distinct #1  Grand  Bassa  County, Hans Barchue, has launched  a L$1.5 million humanity microfinance  loan  of  Liberia (HMIL) in his district.

The launching ceremony took place over the weekend at Compound #1 Town Hall in Grand Bassa County.

Speaking  at the occasion, Rep. Barchue  disclosed that the  loan scheme is  intended  for three  counties including  Montserrado,  Grand  Cape  Mount  and  Grand Bassa.

According to him, the loan is provided by the Central bank of Liberia (CBL) to be given to those three counties citizens’ specifically business people.

He said the loan process will begin in Grand Bassa County for now and will shortly be taken to the other two counties so that other beneficiaries will have advantage of the exercise as well.

Rep. Barchue further  indicated that  the microfinance loan  is  intended  to  improve  the  lives  of  citizens  of the three counties  who  are  involved in business and will also  help people  improve   their  business status.
