Suspended Acting Monrovia City Mayor Mary Broh escaped mob justice yesterday at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
According report, Madam Broh had gone to the court to secure a bond but was contested by some angry Liberians who demanded that Madam be detained at the Monrovia Central Prison as ordered by the House of Representatives.
The angry citizens insisted and surrounded the first vehicle that attempted taking away Madam Broh, preventing her from leaving the Temple of Justice.
But as God could have it, officers of the Liberian National Police joined the Monrovia City Corporation security and took the suspended Lord Mayor away in different vehicle.
What was not clear is whether Madam Broh secured a bond as reported because the Supreme Court had reportedly summoned the leadership of the House to appear on yesterday.
