Dear God In Heaven: The House of Senate representing the Upper Class of the Liberian Legislature has passed a bill excluding same sex marriage in the Liberian society. The action of the Senate follows spiraling threats and sustained advocacy by certain group to make same sex marriage legal in the nation.

Reminded of an old tale involving Mr. Rabbit that became so smart within his kingdom, leaving Mr. Leopard, Lion and other wild and bigger animals to have had a ploy in capturing and eating him, the former overheard the plans and became very cautious in his moves, knowing where to go and who to affiliate with.

It has surfaced for a little wide, a public debate about any reason why Liberia should join the western band wagon- same sex campaign that has been hovering around the world with cutting off aids’ threats issued against third world countries that tend to reject legislating laws to legalize same sex marriages. Liberians on the average do not seem to accept the practice of same sex even if people, by way of individual interest would choose to dilute the Liberian culture in that manner due to foreign aids and contacts as western nations appear to insinuate.

Dear God In Heaven: Our nation is about to observe its 165th birth anniversary on July 26 which falls on next week Thursday, Lord. During those years we, its people, dragged and twisted low under poverty and injustices meted against us by those who had and continue to handle our political affairs and steer our ship of state. Hence, we had been economically depressed and suppressed all of the time thereby being constrained to harbor hatred and sins between and amongst ourselves. You made us naturally rich given our share of naturally resources, yet we are made poor by our political brothers and sisters some, if not all of them who are limited in terms of patriotic spirit.
